Assessment/Trial for your Furkid's Safety & Enjoyment
At Mutts & Mittens Active, your furry friend’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first.
Before joining our Active Daycare Programme, every dog will go through a daycare assessment. This allows us to make sure they are able to interact safely and comfortably with other dogs, while also ensuring they are a good fit for the daycare environment.
If you would like your dog to have a more complete trial experience, we also offer a full-day trial that includes the assessment segment.

Our Daycare Assessment takes about one (1) hour. Your dog will be assessed on their ability to navigate our daycare programme. Specifically, this would be in terms of:
- Dog to dog sociability, to determine if your dog will be safe during dog to dog interactions
- Dog to human sociability, to determine how comfortable your dog is with being handled by strangers, so that we may properly care for them and bring them swimming
- Ability to function independently away from pawrents, without high anxiety and stress
Full-Day Daycare Trial Details
Our Full-Day Daycare Trial gives your dog a complete introduction to the Mutts & Mittens Active daycare experience. This trial includes an assessment segment, where our team will observe how your dog adapts to the daycare environment and interacts with both dogs and handlers. The goal is to ensure your dog can enjoy daycare safely, comfortably, and confidently.
Your dog’s assessment will be based on observations of his interactions with a panel of balanced dogs.
Pawrents will not be able to observe the assessment as their presence will have an impact on how their doggo responds.

1. Valid core vaccination or titer test results with a valid Leptospirosis vaccination required (not less than 14 days & not more than 12 months)
2. Must be on monthly tick and flea prevention.
3. Dog must be fed at least 2 hours before Daycare Assessment.
4. All prices stated are before GST.
5. Mutts & Mittens reserves the right to reject any booking.

*All doggos are required to attend an Assessment or Trial before joining the daycare program*
